The first hybrid taxi in Venice

Today, on June 18, 2019, during the Venice Boat Show, the city’s first hybrid taxi was handed over to the Mayor Luigi Brugnaro. The boat of the Mayor’s fleet equipped with the Transfluid HM560-12 hybrid system, which is composed of the internal combustion engine Diesel combined with a 12kW permanent magnet electric machine, powered by the bench batteries of about 10 kWh. The typical Venetian TAXI of the Mayor’s Fleet is the first step towards an increasingly high awareness of eco-sustainable navigation, particularly urgent for the Venice lagoon. Surfing in electric mode, for the small canals producing a reduced wave motion and in a wonderful silence, will exalt a new vision to live the city reducing also the pollution rate.
