Transfluid electrifies Canottieri Gavirate catamaran during Italian Championships on Lake Varese

During the recent Italian Rowing Championships held on Lake Varese, Transfluid had the pleasure of collaborating with Canottieri Gavirate, providing an all-electric propulsion solution for their support catamaran. The boat was equipped with an Elco electric outboard motor, a choice that once again demonstrates Transfluid’s commitment to the development and integration of sustainable technologies in the boating industry.

A concrete step toward electric mobility in the sports world as well

The collaboration with Canottieri Gavirate represents a virtuous example of how electric technologies can also be adopted in sports and competition. The catamaran, which was used for technical assistance during races, operated quietly and efficiently, offering reliable performance with no environmental impact, in line with the requirements of navigation in protected inland waters.

The installed electric motor belongs to the Elco Outboards range, distributed in Italy by Transfluid, and is distinguished by its ease of use, quiet operation and absence of emissions. It is an ideal solution for applications that require precision in maneuvering, low noise impact and operational reliability – features particularly appreciated in competitive contexts.

An ever-expanding range

The integration of the Elco engine into the Canottieri Gavirate catamaran adds to Transfluid’s wide range of electric and hybrid systems, designed to cover a power range from a few kilowatts up to 260 kW for industrial models. Our proposal includes inboard motors, saildrives, parallel and series hybrid systems, and modular solutions suitable for both new construction and retrofits.

With this installation, Transfluid confirms its leadership in the field of electric propulsion for professional and sport boating, demonstrating the versatility and effectiveness of its systems even under real-world conditions of use.

Commitment to sustainability

This initiative is part of a broader effort by Transfluid to promote electric mobility in the marine environment, actively contributing to the industry’s green transition. The goal is to offer concrete solutions to reduce emissions, noise pollution and operating costs while improving the onboard experience.
